WA. Paybook photograph of WX386 Private Albert Reynolds, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Reynolds, aged 34, died as a Prisoner of War (POW), after being captured defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 18 December 1944. He was the son of Albert and Amy Rose Reynolds, of East Fremantle, WA. He is buried in the Klagenfurt War Cemetery, Austria, Section 2, Row D, Plot 3.
