WA. Paybook photograph of WX471 Private John Robert Fraser, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Fraser, aged 19, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 27 May 1941. He was the son of John and Emma Elizabeth Fraser, of Mount Hawthorn, WA. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 5, Row C, Plot 14.
