WA. Paybook photograph of WX503 Lance Corporal Norman Robert Dann, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Lance Corporal Dann, aged 21, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 23 May 1941. He was the son of George Edward Percy and Sarah Elizabeth Dann, of Como, WA. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 1, Row D, Plot 17.
