WA. Paybook photograph of WX647 Private Laurence Olsen, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Olsen, aged 32, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 20 May 1941. He was the son of Albert and Nora Olsen, of North Fremantle, WA.
