WA. Paybook photograph of WX750 Private Reginald Victor Merrick, Headquarters 19th Brigade, Australian Infantry. Private Merrick, aged 27, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 28 May 1941. He was the son of James and Willis Merrick and the husband of Dorothy Marie Merrick, of South Fremantle, WA. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 5, Row D, Plot 2.
