WA. Paybook photograph of WX796 Corporal James William Miller, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Corporal Miller, aged 28, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 27 May 1941. He was the son of George James Miller and Catherine Irene Miller, of Kalgoorlie, WA. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 5, Row C, Plot 10.
