WA. Paybook photograph of WX873 Private David Palmer Grant Coleman, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Coleman, aged 33, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 28 May 1941. He was the son of Francis Edward and Isabelle Anne Coleman, of Burracoppin, WA. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 12. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
