WA. Paybook photograph of WX997 Private Reginald John Taylor, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Taylor, aged 24, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 30 May 1941. He was the son of Joseph Norman and Ethel Margaret Taylor, of Leederville, WA. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 12. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
