WA. Paybook photograph of WX1051 Sergeant Stanley Thomas Hutchinson, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Sergeant Hutchinson, aged 23, died on 15 June 1941, as a Prisoner of War (POW), of wounds he received while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion. He was evacuated on 31 May 1941. He was the son of Sydney Wright Hutchinson and Daisy Maud Hutchinson, of Geraldton, WA. He is buried in the Phaleron War Cemetery Section 3, Row A, Plot 7.
