WA. Paybook photograph of WX1777 Private Ronald Cowieson Findlay, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Findlay, aged 24, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 27 May 1941. He was the son of William Cowieson Findlay and Eleanor Findlay, of Subiaco, WA. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 6. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
