WA. Paybook photograph of WX3882 Sapper Raymond Victor Cross, 2/2nd Field Park Company, Royal Australian Engineers. Sapper Cross, aged 27, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 17 May 1941. He was the son of Mable Cross, of Leederville, WA.
