El Alamein, Egypt. 11 November 1943. The cemetery at El Alamein as it looked on Armistice Day 1943. The special wreath fashioned from sprays of gum leaves which was donated by the Australian people in honour of the AIF who fell in the Battle of Alamein can be seen in the foreground.
