Portrait of 404770 Sergeant Elston John 'Jack' Quirk, 450 Squadron RAAF. Quirk worked as a grazier before the war, enlisted in 15 Light Horse Regiment in 1939 and then transfered on 8 November 1940 to the RAAF. He was presumed to have been shot down near Alexandria on 22 May 1942.
