Electrical Mechanic John Macartney of Gympie, Qld tests the radio on one of the Navy's new Wessex anti-submarine helicopters onboard the aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne. The ship sailed that month for a ten week deployment to the Far East Strategic Reserve (FESR).
