The Commander-in-Chief, Far East Fleet, Vice Admiral Sir Desmond Dreyer, RN is welcomed onboard the Daring class destroyer, HMAS Vendetta. He is met by her commanding officer, 0.1279 Commander A A Willis, of Canberra, ACT. The Royal Navy helicopter which transferred him is partly visible in the top right hand corner. The ship was serving in the Far East Strategic Reserve (FESR) during Confrontation.
