Collection relating to the First World War service of Second Lieutenant Alexander Phipps Turnbull, 10th Australian Light Horse Regiment, 1914-1918.
Wallet 1 of 1 consists of original letters written by Turnbull to his family from Mena Camp, Egypt and Gallipoli with general descriptions of life and daily news. It includes a letter dated August 4th 1915 sent from Gallipoli Peninsula, just days before Turnbull was killed. The wallet contains a leather pocket album with photos of Turnbull and fiancé Mollie.
