R93411 Tactical Operator Lennard J Hulme operates a 10 inch signalling projector on the flag deck of the Daring class destroyer HMAS Duchess. He is flashing a visual message to his counterpart in HMAS Vendetta. Both ships are steaming in company having escorted the troop transport HMAS Sydney to Vung Tau that month. This was a side trip for HMAS Duchess during its deployment to the Indonesian Confrontation.
