Burma. 1 May 1945. Some of the Indian paratroops of South East Asia Command standing in a line, being given a final inspection before they emplaned for their drop on Rangoon. Two RAF paratroop instructors make a detailed inspection of each man to see that his equipment is sound. The instructors are, Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) P. W. Pye of Dagenham, Essex (left), and Flt Sgt J. R. Richardson of Seaham Harbour, County Durham.
