Central Burma. c. 1945. This RAF Control Tower is built between four palm trees by the side of the airstrip. It is 30 feet high and was constructed by Indian engineers in one day. On the steps which are made from a split palm tree, is Flight Lieutenant L. A. N. Rushton of Paignton, Devon, who is the senior Flying Control officer on this RAF wing.
