Description

Arakan, Burma. c. 1945. These pilots of an RAF Mosquito Squadron, wearing their various types of jungle kit, have to cross a wooden bridge to reach the airfield. A magnificent job has been done in the Burma campaign in support of the British 14th Army by RAF Mosquito aircraft operating in the Arakan and Mandalay fronts. They have attacked and bombed Japanese strongpoints, strafed infantry and motor transport, and flown innumerable photographic reconnaissance sorties.
