Description
The Tide class fleet replenishment tanker, HMAS Supply (centre), refuels two Australian warships which were en route to Vietnam. The troop transport HMAS Sydney (right) was carrying 1 Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) and supporting combat units to Vung Tau on the first of 22 voyages from 1965-72. The Daring class destroyer HMAS Duchess (left) escorted HMAS Sydney to and from Vietnam on this trip.
