Description

The RAN guided missile destroyer, HMAS Hobart (II) D39, has returned to Sydney after completing its first deployment to Vietnam, where it was attached to the US Seventh Fleet for six months. It was engaged in operational duties, shelling North Vietnamese shore installations and logistics support craft. Here two seamen on board the Hobart assist with hoisting the brow (gangway), while family and friends wait to on the wharf for the returning crew.
