Description

The RAN guided missile destroyer HMAS Perth (II) D38, is anchored in Vung Tau Harbour on Christmas Day. While the Perth is in Vung Tau Harbour, the captain has allowed several members of RAN and Australian Army units serving in Vietnam to board and share Christmas dinner with friends and family members. Here R64607 Engineering Mechanic (ME) Thomas James Browning, of HMAS Perth, and his brother 217743 Corporal Kevin Douglas Browning, of the Australian Army in Vietnam, meet up in the cafeteria on board HMAS Perth.
