RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam (RANHFV) is attached to the US Army 135th Assault Helicopter Company (AHC), at the Bearcat Base in Bien Hoa Province, South Vietnam. Bringing in the mail to the RANHFV personnel at the base is R59656 Leading Writer (LWTR) Trevor Raymond Atkins, of Port Pirie, SA. LWTR Atkins does administrative work for the 135th AHC, and collecting mail is one of his daily tasks The joint American-Australian unit is the only one of its kind in the US Army. 46 RANHFV personnel are working with the Americans.
