Description

A tour of duty in Vietnam comes to an end for members of the fourth contingent of the RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam (RANHFV), which for the past nine months has been integrated with the US Army 135th Assault Helicopter Company, at Dong Tam, in the Mekong Delta region. RANHFV operated for the previous five years out of the Bearcat base, north east of Saigon. Here R63025 Leading Airman Weapons (LAMW) Kenneth Mervyn (Ken) McKenna (left), of Maryborough, Qld, and R62379 Naval Airman Aircraft Handler (NAAH) Peter Robert Malcolm, of Nowra, NSW, take much delight in loading their gear onto a truck prior to leaving.
