Manipur, India. c. March 1944. Air transport is used extensively to deliver supplies and equipment to troops in forward areas. A 25-pounder gun is being loaded by Indian troops onto a RAF Douglas C47 Dakota transport aircraft, serial no. FL578, at an airfield on the Imphal Plain. A 25-pounder gun and chassis with the shield removed is waiting to be loaded by RAF artillery.
