Chick, Edwin (Private, b.1907 - d.1947)
Description
Letters of WX19419 Private Edwin Chick (2/28th Battalion) from Palestine and New Guinea to his mother and sister concerning mainly domestic and family matters and his non-official experiences (including a bout of malaria). Also a newsclipping and photograph of Chick after an incident at Scarlet Beach in the Finschhafen area in which he was saved from a Japanese sniper's bullet by equipment he was wearing.
