Description
Chumphon, Thailand. 17 June 1945. Aircraft of No. 356 (Liberator) Squadron RAF of the Strategic Air Force, Eastern Air Command made a forty-mile sweep on the railway south of Chumphon on the Bangkok-Singapore railway. Bridges, rolling-stock, and marshalling yards were attacked. Aerial view from an attacking aircraft on another section of the Bangkok-Singapore railroad, shows a direct hit on a train. The peculiar explosion of the bomb burst, combined with the railroad track makes a gigantic 'V' over the train.
