HMS Taciturn, a T class submarine, arrives in Sydney to serve under the operational control of the Royal Australian Navy. This submarine joins the Royal Navy Fourth Submarine Division (SM4) which is based in Australia to provide anti-submarine training facilities for the RAN and RAAF.
