Description
New Britain. A group of American forces return to their advance base at Arawe after completing a patrol of the area captured recently from the Japanese. Despite their experiences the men are cheerful. The campaign was carried out without a hitch and these American lads, many of whom come from Texas, are jubilant at the thought that the Japanese perimeter has been thrust back another 200 miles at comparatively small cost.
