Adelaide, Australia. March 1943. Soldiers receiving instruction in the corect use of the SMLE (Short, Magazine Lee Enfield) No. 1 Mk III* .303 rifle at the Infantry Training School at Victoria Park, near Adelaide. Note the instructor at back left is sighting in a gun. At right, leaning against the post are the aiming stands which help the soldiers when setting sights.
