Canberra, ACT. The 28 cm German railway gun that was captured by the Australian Imperial Force on 8 August 1918 in front of Harbonnieres, near Villers Bretonneux, France. This gun was used by the Germans to shell Amiens during World War 1. It is displayed on its original mountings on a section of a railway track and has been repainted. Note the empty paint tins in the foreground.
