Tactical Operator Daryl Cross editing an inwards signal on a telegraphic typewriter in the Main Signal Office (MSO) of the Daring class destroyer HMAS Duchess. He is preparing an 'ormig master' for a duplicating machine. This signal will then be distributed to those action addressees concerned with its content. HMAS Duchess is serving in the Far East Strategic Reserve (FESR) during the Indonesian Confrontation.
