Mr Norman Barry-Maine, a visiting British freelance journalist, is seated in a bosun's chair in the Guided Missile Destroyer HMAS Hobart. He was being prepared for return by highline to a Wrangell class ammunition ship USS Diamond Head (not pictured). During his brief visit, he wrote an article on warships in the Gulf of Tonkin for publication in two Melbourne papers.
