Description
RAN guided missile destroyer HMAS Hobart (II) D39 has docked at Subic Bay, the Philippines headquarters of the US Seventh Fleet. HMAS Hobart is completing its first deployment to Vietnam, and has been attached to the US Seventh Fleet for six months. The Hobart is being relieved by HMAS Perth (II) D38. Hobart's guns have fired more than 10000 rounds at 1050 targets off the coast of Vietnam. Here Lieutenant David William Daish (right), of Murray Bridge, SA, and of HMAS Hobart, hands over confidential papers to Lieutenant Commander John Bernard Wells, of Brighton, SA, and of HMAS Perth.
