Vietnam. c 1966. The Army's open air showers on the beach, consisting of a wooden floor over a trench with buckets hanging from pulleys on an overhead frame, and two lengths of hessian as walls. In order to have a warm shower, the buckets had to be filled with water a few hours before bathing.
