Vung Tau, Vietnam. c 1966. An escort junk carrying Australian and Vietnamese soldiers, which is escorting a boat of Australian and US soldiers on their way to the rural areas of Vung Tau to set up Medical Civil Aid Project (MEDCAP) clinics. In the narrower waterways, the escort junk dropped back to behind the boat it was escorting, to be in a better position to assess a situation if anything were to happen.
