Description
The initial grave of 2027 Gunner (Gnr) Athol Wynne Parry, 3rd Field Artillery Brigade. Gnr Parry, a clerk from Launceston, Tas prior to enlistment, embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Geelong on 17 September 1914. On 11 May 1915 he was killed in action aged 19 and was buried in the Brown's Dip Cemetery, Gallipoli. Following the consolidation of many grave sites at the end of the war, he was re-interred in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Gallipoli.
