Identified from left to right: Sergeant Major Norman Victor Light (later Lieutenant (Lt)); Lt Price Jacob Morgan (later Major (Maj) and died of wounds in France on 4 April 1917); Captain (Capt) Richard Stewart Gee (later Maj and awarded Distinguished Service Order (DSO)); Maj William Livingstone Hatchwell Burgess (later Brigadier General and awarded Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB), Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG), DSO, Distinguished Service Medal (DSM) (USA), and Legion D’Honneur Croix D’Officer France; Lt Alan Percy Crisp (later Maj and awarded DSO and Croix de Guerre (France); and Lt John Rupert Ellis (later Maj).
