The men in various form of dress, are from left to right: standing: NX87090 Corporal (Cpl) Paul Couch; NX83469 Trooper (Tpr) George James Mudford; Lucky; VX76641 Tpr Russell Gordon (Pappy) Pickering; Tpr Harry Harris; QX5746 Tpr Keith James Alexander (Snowy) Cooper; Bede; QX58202 Tpr Harold Henry (Harry) Miles; Tpr Jimmy Taylor (possibly NX154380 Frederick James Taylor); kneeling: NX137668 Tpr Roy Maxwell (Tod) Morgans; Buck; Curly Wilson; TX13488 Trevor Arnold (Ghandi) Jacobs. Cpl Couch and Tpr Cooper were killed on 8 July 1945 in Borneo at Balikpapan when a large booby trap buried in the road, exploded.
