Description
Photocopy of typescript remimiscences (11 pages) of 3215 Sergeant Frank L. Gardner, RAAF, titled `Reminiscences of a 10 Squadron W/T Operator'. They relate to his service as a Wireless Telegraphy Operator in the Sunderland aircraft of no. 10 Squadron based at Pembroke Dock and Plymouth, England, and Oban, Scotland, from 1939 to 1940. He describes his duties, the interior of the aircraft, missions flown, casualties, RAF administration, bombing of his home near the airfield and his return to Australia in 1942.
