Western Desert, North Africa. 18 April 1942. A Russian airman (left) who had flown to the Western Desert from Moscow, chats to Flight Lieutenant A. Warburton DSO DFC and Bar, RAF. The Captain (centre) bears three decorations, one of these awards is in recognition of 500,000 kilometres of flying without an accident. These men have taken part in raids on Germany.
