Western Desert, Egypt. 20 September 1942. Air Vice Marshal W. A. McCloughry shakes hands with Flight Sergeant D. Wood, pilot of the aircraft named after Sir Iain MacRobert, one of four Hurricanes presented to the RAF by Lady MacRobert in memory of her three sons, who were all killed while flying, one in a flying accident before the war and two while serving in the RAF. Note the family crest under the name 'The Mac Robert Fighter'.
