Collection relating to the service of NX48948 Evan Fuller
Description
Oesapa Besar, Timor. 1942. Three Australian Prisoners of War (POWs), members of Sparrow Force, lean against a simple log enclosure surrounding a hole in the ground. From left to right: possibly NX48948 Sergeant Evan Fuller, 2/12th Field Ambulance; NX47101 Lance Sergeant Ernest Roy Snowden, cook; NX60544 Arthur Samuel Knox (later died whilst a POW in Java on 24 June 1944). Soldiers were held in this camp after the Japanese invaded Timor.
