Description
An unidentified Australian Sergeant (Sgt) of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF), supervises two Japanese tradesmen (probably ex-servicemen) working on a large engine. The Sergeant is probably with the Royal Australian Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME). He is wearing white overalls and a cotton beret. Note the hoist attached to the engine.
