A port bow view of the heavy cruiser, Baltimore Class 8 inch, USS Toledo (CA0133). At the head of the mainmast is a Regulus 1 surface to surface guided missile which is trained by the SPQ-2 Radar. The other radars visible include SPS-4 Zenith/Surface search at the head of the foremast and SPS-6 air search below it. A mark 25 Fire Control Radar is fitted on the Mark 37 secondary armament director which is trained to port. Note the twin 3 inch/50 AA guns on the main deck forward and on the raised platforms amidships abaft the twin 5 inch/38 gun turret. They are controlled by the mark 56 directors mounted either side of the forward superstructure and amidships. The cruiser is tied up at the dock in Kure harbour. Note the large crane and water barrel on the wharf.
