A group of Australian officers from the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF), and female companions celebrate Christmas with food and drinks at an officers' mess. Streamers and stars decorate the room to give it a festive appearance. The ribbon bars on some of the officers' uniforms indicate they served in the Second World War. Identified, second row, far right, is Noreen McAlister, a school teacher at Nijimura School.
