Description
A crowd of servicemen, wives and children proudly watch a group of unidentified Australian officers and Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs) from the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF), receive medals at an Investiture Parade, at Kure. The civilians are rugged up in winter coats to ward off the cold. The Union Jack and Australian flag fly from flagpoles (left). On the rise behind the parade ground are Japanese pines and cherry blossom trees.
