Port Moresby, New Guinea. "They shall not grow old As we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn. At the going down of sun And in the morning We will remember them." (RAAF Toc H Group Pt. Moresby 1942) A photograph of a sign erected by the RAAF Toc H group in Port Moresby to commemorate those killed. The sign with an eagle on top says "Memory Lane In memory of R.A.A.F personnel who have flown to a higher level `Per ardua ad astra'", and lists the names of those killed: J. F. Jackson, F. C. Maurmer (?), H. Bower, O. J. Channon, Reid, Sloan, E. J. O'Donnell, A. J. Davenport, C. J. Matheson, W. Cowie, Devine, J. D. Dally, J. C. Clark, L. J. Hartley, E. C. Morrison, Sidey, A. W. Magee, N. L. Ernst, G. R. Peterson, J. F. Lymath, L. E. Lowe, F. Foers, Beitz. Padre P. Sands included the verse which accompanies this photograph in an album given to LAC Frank Lansdowne, a member of the Moresby Microbes, now held in the Private Records collection at the Australian War Memorial.
