Description

Group portrait of German Officer prisoners of war (POWs) interned in No. 13 POW Group at Dhurringile near Murchison. They are survivors of the German Auxiliary Cruiser Kormoran which was sunk in November 1941 in an engagement with HMAS Sydney. This resulted in the Sydney being sunk with the loss of the entire crew.
